What preparation is needed under artificial grass?
It depends on the existing ground and how the area will be used. Removal, excavation, a prepared base, levelling and firm edges may all be needed. We’ll inspect the site and make clear what is included in the quote.
Does artificial grass need drainage?
Rainwater still needs somewhere suitable to go. We look at the existing ground, falls and nearby hard surfaces or buildings when planning the preparation. The quote will describe the approach for the particular area.
Can you remove the existing lawn or overgrowth first?
Yes, removal and preparation can be included in the quote. If the area is heavily overgrown, garden clearance may be the first part of the job. Tell us what is on the ground now so we can be clear about what needs doing.
Is artificial grass maintenance-free?
It removes mowing, but it is not maintenance-free. Leaves and debris still need clearing, the surface may need brushing, and spills or pet use need appropriate cleaning. We can talk through realistic upkeep before you decide.
