What is crown lifting?
Crown lifting is targeted pruning to remove or shorten lower branches so the canopy starts higher up the trunk. It’s used to create headroom over paths and driveways, improve access in the garden, and stop branches touching buildings. Done properly, it stays balanced and looks natural.

Before any pruning, I check access, what’s underneath the tree, and what’s nearby. That includes roofs, fences, power lines, greenhouses, parked cars and footpaths. Some trees are protected by a TPO or sit in a conservation area, so permission may be needed. I’ll tell you what applies and help you check with the local council.
